• Initially brought into service as the 787-8 in 2011 by Boeing as a more fuel-efficient, environmentally friendly successor to the aging Boeing 767, the innovative, twin-engine, wide-body Boeing 787 Dreamliner is offered in different versions that can be configured to typically seat from 210 to 330 passengers and is recognized by its prominently curved aerodynamic wings with raked back wingtips and chevrons on its engine nacelles.
