The Clio success story came into being with the arrival of the fourth-generation model in 2012. Inspired by the DeZir concept car, Clio 4 was the primary model to feature the original visual identity of the Renault range. The Clio IV model’s winning qualities are sensuality, appeal and extra soul. Clio IV is a model having numerous superlatives which has helped it rank as the best-selling French car of all time, the first car to conquest the European Car of the Year award two times. Revealed at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the RS version adopted a 6-speed EDC dual-clutch transmission (Efficient Double Clutch) developed by Renault Sport engineers, and powered by a 1.6 L (1,618 cc) DIG-T Nissan MR16DDT inline-four engine, which develops 200 PS (197 bhp; 147 kW) and 240 N⋅m (177 lbf⋅ft) of torque. It was available exclusively as a five-door model for the first time. In 2016 Renault released a face-lifted version featuring new LED headlights and other minor improvements. There’s also a Trophy version that has an improved engine that produces 220 PS (217 bhp; 162 kW) and 280 N⋅m (207 lbf⋅ft) Two years later a limited edition called R.S. 18 was made available.
