Carbon fibre water expansion tank (commonly know as a swirl pot) from the engine cooling system of a 2012 Caterham F1 car.

A highly unusual and interesting example of the exceptionally high level of engineering that goes into a modern F1 car.

A part this complex and made to this standard, would have easily cost well of $30,000 to design, develop & produce!! (An F1 car from this period would have cost somewhere between $7-$10 million to develop & manufacture).

It has also been engraved (by the Caterham F1 team) with it's own unique part numbers & batch code, this allowed the team & engineers to keep track of what parts were fitted to the cars at any given time.

Would also give the new owner a great talking point if display on their desk or in their home.
