About the artist: 

  Eric Anderson was born and raised in New England. His early years spent in his father's gas stations in the 1970's and 1980's had a profound impact on his life as during this time he fell in love with all things automobile. Using that influence and building on his artistic talent he has over years gravitated from cartoonist to fine artist. With his art work being featured at the Enchantress Gallery in Kihei, Hawaii he keeps busy with commission work as well as creating new works monthly. He currently resides in a town North of Chicago.

 I am a self-taught artist passionate about capturing the beauty and intricacy of automotive design. My work centers around the powerful connection between machinery and art, transforming vehicles into dynamic expressions of creativity. Inspired by the engineering marvels of automobiles, I strive to highlight the elegance and strength of these machines through vibrant colors and dynamic compositions. My technique blends realism with a touch of abstraction, allowing viewers to appreciate both the detail and the emotion behind each piece.

My creative process begins with extensive research and sketching, as I immerse myself in the history and design of each vehicle. I work primarily with oils, layering colors to create depth and movement, which brings each piece to life. I aim to evoke a sense of nostalgia and admiration in my audience, encouraging them to see automobiles as more than just machines but as works of art in their own right.
